Ashanti Gold have targeted the Group stage of next year’s CAF Champions League after suffering the heartbreak of missing out on the Premier League title.
AshGold needed a point to be crowned but tasted a final day defeat and were pipped to the title by the head-to-head rule.
The club are yet to play in the money spinning zone of the competition since losing out on penalties to Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in the final of the 1997 edition.
Chief Executive Kudjo Fianoo is confident his side can go the long distance when the qualifiers begin early next year.
