AshantiGold lost 1-2 to Great Olympics on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium to end its unbeaten run in the Glo Premier League.
Olympics produced a spirited performance in the second half of the game to run away with maximum points but Coach Duncan of Ashgold tells Joy Sports the loss was as a result of mistake the team could have so easily avoided.
“We virtually gave the game to them. We committed two mistakes that at this level you don’t commit. If you don’t take your chances you get punished…that is what has happened,” he said.
Obviously worried Coach Duncan said “we should have buried them in the first half” but says the failure must get his men to retool to perform better in subsequent encounters.
“We have to just go back and work on some of the mistakes that we have committed that got us punished,” he hinted.
