Ekosiisen, Ghana’s leading current affairs show on Asempa FM, a member of the Multimedia Media Group Limited, has for the third time picked the award for the ‘Radio Programme of the Year’ 2023 at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Awards.
Asempa FM’s flagship political programme was acknowledged at the 35th CIMG Awards held at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
The show won the same award in 2018 and 2020.
The CIMG Awards, one of the most prestigious accolades in the marketing and media industry, are a benchmark for outstanding achievements in these fields.
The citation that followed the award read, “Your pedigree as a programme that leaves your listeners captivated and rooting for more was not lost on your panel of evaluators, who put you ahead of your peers for this going.”
“With an aim to challenge conventional norms in the industry and re-invent what radio should be like, you have created a compelling and proactive must-listen-to talk show, which resonates with people with different listening preferences i.e. sports, politics, religion and entertainment.”
Your listeners are particularly thrilled with the aspect of your show which revives cold cases and prompts duty bearers to action where they have been negligent. Most refreshing is the fact that you base your ever-captivating daily packages on feedback from your patrons.
You have been exemplary in your display of leadership, influence and impact for which reason you. ASEMPA FM -EKOSIISEN, is being conferred with the CIMG RADIO PROGRAMME OF THE YEAR, 2023.”
The Host of the show who doubles as the Programmes Manager of Asempa FM, Philip Osei Bonsu, popularly known as O.B., celebrated his team for their hard work and consistency.
“After winning the coveted CIMG Radio Program of the Year 2018 and 2020, EKOSIISEN once again was adjudged the Radio Program of the Year 2023 at the 35th CIMG National Marketing Performance Awards yesterday. Thanks to God and to all those who made this possible especially to my hardworking production team led by Dominic Kissi Yeboah” he said.
