Asante Kotoko have announced the acquisition of defender Joseph Ablorh on a two-year deal.
The center-back, who joins the club on a free transfer, will become Kotoko's sixth signing of the transfer window.
Ablorh, who featured for Hafia FC, was included in Guinea top-flight's Team of the Season in the 2020/2021.
Kotoko coach Dr. Prosper Ogum expressed his delight with the signing in an official statement on the club's website.
“We are thrilled to welcome Joseph to Asante Kotoko. At 26, he brings a blend of experience and athleticism that will strengthen our defensive line.”
“His skills and leadership will be pivotal as we strive to elevate our team and achieve our goals.”
Ablorh himself shared his excitement regarding the move, promising the Porcupine Warriors faithful that he will strive to give his all for the club in the coming future.
“It’s a great privilege to join Asante Kotoko, a club with such rich history and passionate supporters.”
“As a Ghanaian, returning home to play for this prestigious club is a dream come true for me. I am eager to wear the red jersey, give my all on the field, and contribute to our collective success.”
The announcement comes hours before their scheduled game against the Accra Heart of Oak for the Democracy Cup this evening.
