Kwadwo Asamoah finally broke his goal duck this season in the Serie A but was left to rue his side's defeat on Sunday afternoon.
Udinese were beaten by 5-2 Fiorentina.
The Ghana attacker pulled a goal back in the 57th minute for Udinese as they lost their second consecutive game.
Meanwhile, there was a rare start for Asamoah's national teammate, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.
The midfielder earned his first Serie A start of the season for Udinese but was replaced five minutes before the break.
