Ghana’s number one striker, Asamoah Gyan, will bid farewell to Serie A side, Udinese, after the Africa Nations Cup as he anticipates an attractive transfer move to the English Premiership in January.
The young intelligent striker, who is now a hot cake for both club and country, is only waiting for the opening of the new transfer window in January to settle with a top Premiership side.
Though no deal has been concluded with any club yet, Graphic Sports investigations reveal that officials of Manchester City and Portsmouth are reported to be making overtures for the player's release.
The President of Liberty Professionals, Alhaji Sly Tetteh, told the Graphic Sports that Gyan's departure from Udinese in January' was a done deal as he was done with the Serie A side.
According to him Gyan's place bas already been taken by two Liberty Professionals players, Aziz Tetteh and Rahiu Alhassan, who have each signed a four-year contract with Udinese.
Sly Tetteh disclosed that based on a standing agreement with the Italian club, another Liberty Professionals midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah, has also been transferred to replace Sulley Muntari who joined Portsmouth at the beginning of the season.
He revealed further that all the three players had already had training stints with Udinese and would finally leave for Italy in January to begin their professional careers.
Sly's nephew, Aziz, and Rahiu were in Italy earlier in the year, while Kwadwo Asamoah returned from Italy only last week to join the Black Meteors prepare for their Olympic qualifier against Nigeria last Friday.
