The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boateng has won by a large margin the NPP primaries for the Mfantsiman constituency.
He polled 116 out of the total 119 votes cast.
Prior to the elections Mr. Asamoah Boateng was accused of camping delegates which is against the rules of the party.
There were also allegations that the party leaders were engaged in maneuvers to give the incumbent Member of Parliament for the contituetncy an undue advantage.
But the Central Regional Secretary of NPP Kwamena Duncan said there were no irregularities in the process.
He said the process was witnessed by some ministers of state.
