My attention has been drawn to an allegation from the Deputy Minister for Central Region and Member of Parliament for Mfantsiman West Constituency, Aquinas Tawiah-Quansah that I am behind the circulation of a supposed sex video in circulation in which he is believed to be the male sex partner.
I have read the allegation from Aquinas Tawiah-Quansah on the website of Radio XYZ and also in The Herald newspaper and on several other websites. I am also aware of a desperate attempt by him and his cohorts to put out a fake text message allegedly emanating from me.
I want to put on record that Mr. Aquinas Tawiah-Quansah’s allegations are not only untrue and spurious but also a figment of this own imagination.
I therefore ask him to leave my name out of this apparent embarrassment he finds himself and carry his own cross.
For the records, I have not seen the said sex video and I cannot be said to be the one circulating a video I have not seen. I am focused on my campaign within the constituency, propagating the good message of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as I look up unto the Lord for his blessings on my parliamentary ambition. I firmly believe it is only God who will give me the nod to serve my people.
It is therefore not true I am behind the circulation of the video and I consider it unfair for Aquinas Tawiah-Quansah and his cohorts to drag my name into this scandal when he knows very well I was neither part of his love-connections nor present when he did whatever he is alleged to have done in the said video.
I was not and do not wish to be part of it in anyway.
I suggest he focuses on the issues and addresses them directly rather than play politics with it.
Fortunately, The Herald has mentioned the name of the said female sex partner in the video and given an explanation as to how and why the video was recorded and now in the public domain. I believe the information is enough lead for Aquinas Tawiah-Quansah to get to the bottom of this.
I wish him well.
Signed
Stephen Asamoah-Boateng
