Argentine boxer Hector Javier Velazco has vowed to hand Bukom Banku his first defeat when the two boxers battle for the vacant WPBF light heavyweight title in Accra.
The Ghanaian boxer is yet to taste defeat in 19 fights and is looking forward to break into the world rankings by winning this bout.
Velazco who has fought many credible opponents including Felix Sturm and Arthur Abraham, believes he has what it takes to halt Banku in his tracks.
The Argentine has been in the country for some 48 hours and is looking forward to the fight.
Speaking to Joy FM’s Nathaniel Attoh through his trainer and interpreter, Hector Velazco said he is well conditioned for the bout on Saturday at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium.
Velazco has 37 wins eight losses and a draw.
On the same bill Joshua Okine the Bukom Tsatsu will fight Mohammed Abdullayev for the WPBF welterweight title.
