Retired Ghana international Stephen Appiah made his Cesena debut on Saturday as the newly-promoted side held AS Roma to a goalless draw on the opening weekend of the Italian Serie A.
Appiah lasted 73 minutes of the club's first action in the top-flight before being taken off.
Cesena is the 29 year-old midfielder's fifth Serie A club after playing with Bologna last season.
The Ghanaian has also had stints with Parma, Udinese and Juventus.
