Another Korean firm is advancing moves to partner government in its affordable housing scheme. The firm, Halla Group hinted of their plans to JOY BUSINESS.
Government is currently said to be studying proposals from three firms wanting to provide affordable housing units for Ghanaians. Halla has already initiated moves to build a thirty thousand-megawatt solar plant in Ghana expected to boost the country’s energy needs.
Consultants for the Group, Magcor Ghana Limited says plans are also underway to partner government in its affordable housing scheme.
Magcor’s President, Michael Glynn noted“We are the company that brought the Halla Group into Ghana and we're here for development - housing development and commercial development among others. We brought them in here because we have other affiliations with them in other countries and we are confident they can deliver the energy and housing shortfall in Ghana".
“So basically, we are here for many other development apart from electricity – affordable housing in which we’re working with the ministry and we are about to sign a contract for that” he concluded.
