Ghana won a bronze medal in the men's triple jump when Andrew Owusu leapt 16.34 metres to place third at the 5th July Stadium in
Algiers at the 9th All Africa Games.
The veteran Ghanaian jumper, who entered the event as the defending champion, having won the title in 2003 in Abuja recorded his best jump on his second attempt.
Senegalese, Ndiss Kaba Badji replaced Owusu as the new Games champion and gold medal winner through his impressive leap of 16.80 metres.
Second position went to Cameroonian, Namba Schlick who leapt to the silver with a distance of 16.61 metres.
