Andre Ayew had a premature end to his West Ham debut as he hobbled off with a perceived thigh muscle injury 34 minutes into his Hammers debut.
Ayew started on the right side of a 4-1-4-1 formation in his West Ham debut under Slavan Bilis seeing very little of the table but contributing defensively.
On one of his tracking back duties, Ayew pulled up chasing Chelsea’s Eden Hazard who was bearing down menacingly on goal.
Unlucky for Ayew who was looking to replicate his Swansea debut with a goal for West Ham.
He will now be a doubt for West Ham’s next game this weekend against Bournemouth.
