Ghana international Andre Ayew enjoyed a frustrating return to the French Ligue 1 as he was sent off in his first game for Le Havre.
The Black Stars captain was on the pitch for only two minutes and a few seconds after he received a straight red card for a foul shortly after coming on in the club's league game against Nantes.
Ayew was substituted into the game after 65 minutes as Le Havre chased their opening goal. However, his introduction turned into a misery as he was shown an early exit,
Ayew joined the club prior to the November international break signing a short-term deal with the Ligue 1 side after being without a club.
The attacker was released by Premier League side Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022/23 season and had been without a club since then until the move to Le Havre.
Ayew will now be absent for Le Havre's next two games against Paris Saint-Germain and Strabourg but should be back for the home game against Nice.
