A cameo appearance from Andre Ayew on Tuesday against Nicaragua saw the Black Stars captain become Ghana's joint most capped player alongside Asamoah Gyan.
The Al Sadd forward was introduced in the 82nd minute in a 1-0 victory over Nicaragua at the Artes Carraso De Lorca in Spain.
It was Ayew's 109th appearance for the Black Stars equalling a feat reached by Asamoah Gyan during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The 32-year-old made his international debut in 2007 when he came on as a late substitute against Senegal in a friendly.
Since then, Ayew has gone on to score 23 goals for the national team and is currently the country's highest scorer in AFCON history with 10 goals.
The former Swansea City forward reached the landmark of a century of appearances in the 2022 World Cup qualifier against South Africa - a game that saw Ayew score the winner from the spot.
Ayew could go on to become the player with the most appearances in the next international window when Ghana faces Switzerland in a friendly before the World Cup.
