Utility Hearts of Oak defender Kweku ‘Black’ Andoh has admitted their encounter with Malian side FC Djoliba won’t be a child's-play.
The Phobians will make it to the group stages of the CAF Confederations cup if they manage to scale pass their Malian opponents in the two leg ties.
Andoh who is part of Hearts team for this weekend clash says they face a tough task in Mali despite being confident ahead of the clash
“It won’t be an easy game but we need the prayers of Ghanaians. We know how difficult the game is and we will look to do well for ourselves and Ghanaians”, he said.
A 29-man contingent left Accra for Bamako on Wednesday morning ahead of Friday’s clash with AC Djoliba.Managing Director, Gerald Ankrah, Administrative Manager Hackman Aidoo, Corporate Affairs and Marketing Manager Joe Addo, together with Abdul Ganiyu Lawal, Ghana Football Association Executive Member and Head of Delegation, led the trip.
The technical team for the trip comprised of Head Coach Herbert Addo, Assistant Coach Dauda Lutterodt, Goalkeepers’ trainer Eddie Ansah, and Team Manager Sabahn Quaye, whilst Dr. Quartey and club physiotherapist Adjei Baffour made up the medical team.
Hearts left with 18 first team players for Mali.
