The 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) celebrated numerous actors, filmmakers, and industry professionals pivotal to the movie-making process.

The event held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos State, on Saturday, saw Wale Ojo win the Best Actor award for his role in the critically acclaimed film 'Bread of Life'.

Actress Kehinde Bankole swept the Best Actress award for her role in 'Adire'.

'Bread of Life' was the biggest movie on the night winning five awards, including Best Movie, Best Sound Design, Best Director (BB Sasore), Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actor (Ademola Adedoyin) and Best Supporting Actress (Genoveva Umeh).

Meanwhile, Funke Akindele’s record-breaking film ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ was snubbed, missing out on all five nominations.

Also, the Ghanaian reality show GH Queens won the Best Unscripted Series award.

The show follows the glamorous and fast-paced lives of ambitious women in Ghana’s entertainment industry giving a glimpse into the lives of Efia Odo, Mona 4 Real, Michy Diamond, and Cookie as they navigate life in the spotlight.

Chimezie Imo won the Trailblazer Award. Industry Merit Awards were presented to Richard Mofe Damijo and Idowu Philips, aka Iya Rainbow, for their remarkable contributions to the Nigerian movie industry.
