Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu has won the Hohoe parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He would become the first candidate from the NPP to win the parliamentary seat in Hohoe since 2000.
The announcement was made in a post by the Director of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin on Facebook.
From available data, the Hohoe Constituency has always been a National Democratic Congress stronghold.
Mr. Amewu's reported victory follows a similar event in the previous general elections.

In 2016, Mr Michael Yaw Gyato, unseated the incumbent NDC MP, Wisdom Gidisu who had been the incumbent for 12 years to win the Krachi East constituency for the NPP.
