Amerado discloses why he declined Barima Sidney’s feature request

Ghanaian musician Amerado has broken silence on reports that he refused to feature on a song by Barima Sidney.

Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM's Showbiz A-Z, Amerado indicated that one of the factors that informs his decision to feature on a song is inspiration.

According to him, when the inspiration is missing, he usually does not grant the feature, citing Barima Sidney as an example.

“Barima Sidney sent me a song, I loved it. I spoke with my team that I thought the song was not one that I could really deliver well on so I requested for a remix of one of his monster hits but that couldn’t happen too,” he noted.

He, therefore, noted that gospel music Joyce Blessing sent him her newly released Overdo for a remix and he worked on it instantly because he could vibe with it.

Amerado noted that he would be glad to do a song with Barima Sidney considering his achievements in the industry provided he resonates with the song.

“I’ve seen a couple of interviews that the legendary Barima Sidney has been talking about the fact that I ignored a feature. He should take it easy on me because who wouldn’t want to work with Sidney but sometime maybe we will work on a song that I can really deliver on,” he said.

Not long ago, Amerado got featured on a song by Shatta Wale titled 'Blessings'. He also has songs with artistes such as Sista Afia, Rap Fada, and King Paluta, among others.

In the meantime, Amerado is out with a new EP titled 'The Gold Coin'.
