Practitioners in alternative medicine are increasingly investing in new technologies to meet the health needs of patients.
Traditional herbal and alternative medicine continue to play vital role in Ghana’s health service delivery.
As patronage of medication and services records an upsurge, there are demands for improved modes of drug administration and disease treatment.
According to Dr. Caesar, Chief Executive Officer of M.Y. Ventures, effective treatment of ailment requires efficient diagnoses.
He has therefore acknowledged the need for good investments in equipment and new technologies for holistic and accurate care of patients.
“We cannot only sell medicine to patients, we also have to diagnose and in bringing in equipment, it helps facilitate the health delivery”, stated Dr. Caesar. “The alternative system also requires that we have to be sophisticated because some of the sickness and diseases that we’re encountering these days require that we use sophisticated machines”.
M.Y. Ventures, a natural healthcare center, has introduced a swap card technology that helps protect the privacy and data confidentiality of patients.
The health facility has also invested in an ultramodern laboratory and scanning technologies.
According to Dr. Caesar, the credibility of herbal and alternative medicine practitioners demands professional conduct, especially in employing competent personnel.
“We should allow the skilled labour or personnel to handle various departments so that it can bring professionalism and success to the business”, he admonished.
