Ghana's junior women's team, the Black Maidens have headed to the United States to continue with preparations ahead of the start of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Coach of the team, Abraham Allotey has selected 21 players for the trip which will see the Black Maidens train in Alabama for a two-week period.
The team after the programme in the US will depart for the 16-nation competition in Trinidad and Tobago which will start from September 5 to 25.
Ghana picked one of the two qualifying places from the continent as the Black Maidens will be making a second successive appearance at the world stage.
Ghana and Brazil are both paired in Group D alongside Canada and the Republic of Ireland.
