All is set for this year's national cross country competition in Tamale with over 153 participants registering to take part in the event.
The event, drawn by the National Sports Council (NSC) and fixed for March 15 to 17, forms part of activities marking the 50th Independence Anniversary celebration of the country.
Apart from the huge number of individual participants, athletes from the ten regions of Ghana as well as the Ghana Universities Association (GUNSA), Ghana Armed Forces, Police, Immigration, CEPS, Prisons and Fire Service are scheduled to compete in the event.
According to information gathered by the GNA Sports from the Public Relations Unit of the NSC, the event will be graced by Prince Ernest Oduro-Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of the NSC with support of Dr. Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, a Director at the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports.
