Former Ghana FA Chairman Lepowura MND Jawula has articulated on the benefits Ghana Football will derive from Medeama’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
The Tarkwa based sides were drawn in Group B alongside TP Mazembe, Young Africans and MO Bejaia.
Although many have described it as the Group of Death, Alhaji Jawula who was at the draw in Egypt as a member of the CAF Inter club organizing committee says this is the best draw for Medeama and Ghana.
“It’s going to be quite an era that we should look forward to," he told Joy Sports.
“I think it’s good to see all these great teams in the world come down to Ghana, the stands will be full and I think its going to be quite a reminiscence for Ghana” Alhaji Jawula said.
“We should look ahead with a lot of interest and at the end of the day, Ghana football is going to be remembered for it”.
Ghana’s only contingent in Africa will continue their campaign in the CAF Confederations Cup on June 17 against 2015 CAF Champions League winners TP Mazembe.
