Algeria crashed out of the ongoing World Cup following a 0-1 defeat to US in Group B.
The North Africans badly needed a win to book a place in the round of 16 but a 90th minute rebound from London Donovan meant the Africans are out.
US early on had what appeared to be a legitimate goal ruled out for offside but pressed on for a priceless victory.
The Yankees top Group B on five points followed by England also on five points after a 1-0 victory over Slovenia.
