The North East regional coordinator for NPP's flagbearer hopeful, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten has been attacked.
According to Ali Zakaria, he was beaten mercilessly when he questioned some voters who lifted up their ballot paper to the full view of the delegates after voting.

He told JoyNews, some unidentified delegates attacked him; leaving him with a swollen eye and bruises on his face.
Mr. Zakaria has since been admitted at the Regional hospital.
Background
Some 958 delegates nationwide are expected to decide the fate of ten NPP presidential aspirants by selecting five for the Party’s presidential primary slated for November 4, 2023.

The ten presidential aspirants, in the order in which they will appear on the ballot paper are: Mr Kennedy Agyapong, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Mr Joe Ghartey, Mr Kwadwo Poku, and Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
The rest are: Mr Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Francis Addai Nimoh, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, Mr Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
