The Movement for Change is expecting its upcoming victory walk in Kumasi to draw thousands of supporters and floating voters across the Ashanti region.

The party is also targeting floating voters to vote for its flagbearer, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.

Ashanti Regional communications director for the Movement for Change, Gabriel Chereh Junior has expressed confidence in beating the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti region in the upcoming elections.

He stated that the era of political parties claiming regions and constituencies as their stronghold is over.

"Our victory walk is expected to draw thousands of supporters across the Ashanti region and we will also target floating voters to vote for Alan. The days of this is my stronghold is over, voters are now discerning and we are confident to win."

According to Mr Chereh, the recent statement made by President Akufo-Addo urging Northerners to vote for Dr Bawumia because he is one of their own indicates that the Ashantis will also vote massively for Mr Kyerematen since he is from the region.

"We have a sitting president who campaigns in the northern region and calling on Northerners to vote for Bawumia because he is from the North. With this Logic, we believe Ashantis will also vote massively for Alan Kyeremanteng because he is an Ashanti," he said.

Movement For Change is organising the walk to energise their base and also pray for the people of the Ashanti region to vote for one of their own.

The walk forms part of the broader campaign vision to build momentum and energize the Afrafranto movement toward a historic electoral victory, with the ultimate goal of ending the long-standing political dominance of both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

This Mega Victory Walk, dubbed Vote Aseɛ Hɔ (Vote for the Bottom), emphasizes the grassroots strength of the movement and its determination to reach out to every corner of the nation.
