The Western Region displayed overwhelming support as Alan Kyerematen concluded his Western Region campaign ahead of the December 7 polls.
From Sekondi-Takoradi to Tarkwa and surrounding communities, Alan Kyerematen’s vision for a transformed Ghana resonated deeply with residents. Women, youth, and the elderly showcased their enthusiasm, chanting “Alan Cash” and the “Ase3 Ho” slogan as a show of hope and optimism.
Speaking to traders in Sekondi, Alan Kyerematen reiterated his commitment to establishing a Traders Bank, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering traders with financial independence. “This bank will not belong to the government; it will belong to you, the traders. We will start with a seed capital of 400 million cedis, and it will be your tool to build businesses and transform lives,” he stated to resounding approval.
He outlined his ambitious plan to position the Western Region as the Oil and Gas Hub of West Africa. “This region is sitting on wealth, and yet the people remain under-served. Under my Great Transformational Plan, the Western Region will not only see its oil and gas industry thriving but also receive its rightful share of national development,” he assured.
Alan Kyerematen also presented his bold vision for the New Agriculture Revolution, a policy designed to make farming a profitable venture. He emphasized substantial investments in cocoa production and agro-industries to revitalize the sector and attract youth participation. “This region is rich in agro-resources, and we must give it the attention it deserves to foster development,” he added, promising to make farming a viable path to wealth creation.
In Tarkwa, where mining plays a vital role in the community, Alan Kyerematen addressed the issue of illegal mining (Galamsey). He proposed transitioning young people engaged in Galamsey into sustainable mining practices. “I will take the mining licenses from political appointees and give them to the youth, so they can engage in proper mining. The wealth of this region should benefit its people and not just a select few,” he emphasized, earning strong support.
He highlighted his vision for empowering young people and creating opportunities across all sectors of the economy. “Leaders must create an environment for our youth to thrive. As president, I will ensure Ghana’s youth have jobs and opportunities to become business owners,” he declared, drawing widespread approval.
Women groups in Takoradi lauded his inclusive policies, with Ama Mensah, a market leader, remarking, “Alan is the only leader who speaks directly to the needs of traders, farmers, and ordinary Ghanaians. We believe in his vision.”
As he concluded his tour, Alan Kyerematen left a message of hope and determination: “This election is about choosing a leader with a clear plan to transform Ghana. Together, we will build a prosperous and equitable nation where every region gets its fair share. Ghana will rise again!”
With his vision striking a chord across all demographics, the Western Region’s strong backing reaffirms Alan Kyerematen as a pivotal figure in the upcoming elections.
