Independent presidential Candidate and leader for Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen, has called on the people of Ghana to join him in his quest to break the duopoly of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the country's politics.
The Former Trades Minister, made the call as he prepares to host a "Mega Walk" in Kumasi.
The event, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, is expected to draw thousands of supporters from across the country.
According to Kyerematen, the NPP and NDC have dominated Ghana's politics for too long, and it is time for a change.
He believes that the two parties have failed to deliver on their promises and have instead enriched themselves and their cronies at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian.
"We need a new direction, a new vision, and a new leadership that will put the interests of the people first," Kyerematen said in a statement.
"We need to break the duopoly of the NPP and NDC and create a new era of politics that is inclusive, transparent, and accountable."
Kyerematen's "Afrafranto Mega Walk" is expected to be a major event that will bring together thousands of people from across the country.
The event is expected to be a show of strength and a demonstration of the people's desire for change.
