President Akufo-Addo will address the nation tonight on measures his administration is taking to manage the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
His 22nd update will be his first televised update after assumed office for a second term.
In the last update, the President had revealed that the country had recorded as at January 1, 2021, had 55,220 total cases, with 879 active cases, 54,005 recoveries, 336 deaths and 18 severely ill but no critical cases.
The number has seen an increase.
On the Ghana Health Service website as at Sunday, January 17, 2021, it reported that 56,981 cases have been detected with 55,236 recoveries, 1404 active cases with 175 new cases, and 341 deaths.
