Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, will take his turn at the Institute of Economic Affairs’s Election 2008 Presidential Debate on Thursday, June 26.
The encounter brings the presidential candidates face-to-face with representatives of identifiable professional bodies, and is an initiative of the IEA in furtherance of its objectives of promoting private-sector-led economic development and assist in the process of democratic consolidation in Ghana and throughout Africa.
The 5pm encounter transmitted live from the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, by Joy 99.7FM and GBC, which is also televised live on national TV, provides the presidential candidates the opportunity to tell Ghanaians of their vision and also answer questions from the public.
Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom of the Convention People’s Party and Professor J.E.A. Mills of the National Democratic Congress, have already had their turn.
The IEA is convinced “Those who wish to govern must allow themselves to be subjected to probing questions by the people, to ensure that they understand their concerns and have the capacity to address them.”
If you have questions for the NPP candidate to answer, you may post them here ahead of the event.
