President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's final Presidential Pitch event marked a significant milestone in his administration's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among Ghana's youth.
Held in Accra, the event brought together young entrepreneurs from across the country, showcasing their innovative business ideas and seeking the necessary support to scale their ventures.
The Presidential Pitch, an initiative that has gained recognition for empowering the next generation of business leaders, provided a platform for these young visionaries to present their proposals directly to the president and a panel of esteemed judges.
The event underscored the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, particularly in the realm of entrepreneurship.
President Akufo-Addo in his address, highlighted the critical role that young entrepreneurs play in the nation's economic growth and the importance of supporting their ventures to create jobs and drive innovation.
He reiterated his administration's dedication to creating a favourable environment for businesses to thrive, citing the various initiatives and policies implemented over the years to support startups and small businesses in Ghana.
This year’s pitch was particularly competitive, with a diverse range of ideas presented, reflecting the creativity and resilience of Ghana’s youth.
The winning projects received substantial financial backing, alongside mentorship opportunities, which are crucial for turning their ideas into successful businesses.
The judges, comprising business leaders and industry experts, were impressed by the quality of presentations, noting that the participants demonstrated not only entrepreneurial potential but also a deep understanding of their respective markets.
As the final edition of the Presidential Pitch under Akufo-Addo’s presidency, the event also served as a reflection on the progress made over the years.
The initiative has seen many young entrepreneurs who were once participants now running successful enterprises that contribute to the economy.
The president expressed pride in these achievements, emphasising that the programme’s legacy would continue to inspire and support future generations of entrepreneurs in Ghana.

The NEIP CEO, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for his unwavering leadership and support, which has been instrumental in the success of the Presidential Pitch.
This year’s Presidential Pitch was won by Naamgwimaa Samuel, the founder of Naamgwinaa Technologies.
His innovative electronics company specialises in designing and manufacturing the Smart Switch, a state-of-the-art device that optimizes energy management and automation for both homes and businesses.
