Please, don’t be fooled! The next time you see that the NPP Communication Directorate has planted a story that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, NPPs presidential candidate, has traveled outside the country to rub shoulders with top leaders of the Western World, please don’t buy too much into it or better still don’t put too much stock into that hollow lie.
Nana Dankwa Akufo-Addo, I am reliably informed goes on such dashes or trips not at the invitation of any of those leaders but on his own accord and under one mission. To go and paint a gloomy political, economic and social conditions about Ghana and use the occasion to beg for money to fund his tail off presidential campaign!
Ghanaians will recall that the NPP Communication Directorate has planted stories about Akufo-Addo being invited by the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, US President Barak Obama and lately German Chancellor, Angela Merkel. But believe me, they are all bogus stories and not worth taking to the bank or writing home about.
Nana Akufo-Addo is having cash flow problems for his campaign which is due to kick-start in earnest in July because the Ashanti 2016 Project headed by ex-president Kufuor and others do not want to push their monies to help Akufo-Addo out.
The Ashanti 2016 Project is a venture aimed at inhibiting the chances of Nana Akufo-Addo in the up-coming elections slated for December 7, 2012 and rather project Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng in 2016. The thinking among the Ashanti 2016 Project is that if Akufo-Addo is helped to win the 2012 elections Mr. Kyeremanteng probably has to wait his turn in 2020, hence the decision of the project to work against the chances of Akufo-Addo. The leadership of the Ashanti 2016 Project is also rumoured not to trust Akufo-Addo and believes he has a personal vendetta against most of them.
It is based on the scheming and manipulations of the Ashanti Project 2016 which has driven Akufo-Addo to seek for campaign support from outside the country, a venture considered illegal and criminal under the country’s constitution and electoral laws.
Therefore, if Akufo-Addo zooms outside the country, he simply goes on such trips or missions to beg for hard cash and make fake promises of better fostering relations with those countries if he becomes the president of Ghana.
The recently defeated ex-president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, is on record to have promised to support Akufo-Addo’s campaign if he had won the re-election. But as fate will have it, he lost miserably, therefore, denting the high hopes of Akufo-Addo, who has left his peter out presidential campaign in the hands of his running mate, Tenderfoot Mahamadu Bawumia, and was in Germany, begging for money to save his campaign.
But the fake NPP Communication Directorate simply wants to deceive Ghanaians into believing that Akufo-Addo is being sought by world leaders to confer with them hence the series of invitations he has been receiving. Again, the deception by the NPP is to mislead Ghanaians into believing that current world leaders are looking for a change of government in Ghana or better still want to deal with Akufo-Addo who I am told is detested by many Western world leaders who are looking for African leaders who believe in the promotion of peace, democracy and development.
I am urging the National Security to monitor the activities of Akufo-Addo and also to look out for the possibility of money laundering to fund his campaign. It is against the laws of our country for foreign governments and sources to fund any political party or politician so the National Security should do well and monitor Akufo-Addo who I am told is bent on doing anything, just anything to get elected.
