Airtel Ghana has awarded cash prizes and Samsung devices to winners of the Friendzy weekly promotion.
Airtel Friendzy is a national consumer promotion aimed at rewarding loyal customers and to strengthen social bonds between friends and families across the nation during the end of year festivities.
To participate, customers are allowed to form groups and invite other friends to join to better the group’s chances of winning.
The group can accrue points by either recharging their Airtel accounts with at least GH¢1 or using Airtel services. The higher the top up, the more points and the glaring the opportunity to win the ultimate prize.
ERICUS, a group of 38 members from Mamprobi won the star prize of GH¢10,000 for emerging as the group with the highest number of points in the first weekly promotion.
Groups with the 2nd and 10th highest points at the end of the week also took home GH¢ 2,500. Others won Samsung Tablets and SmartPhones.
Speaking at the events, the Head of Corporate Communications at Airtel, Donald Gwira said the promotion is to appreciate customer loyalty and give high value prizes during the holiday season.
He added that it also offered an opportunity to interact with existing and prospective customers nationwide.
Mr. Gwira congratulated all the winners and urged them to put in more efforts to win the grand prize.
Meanwhile, the grand finale of Airtel Friendzy is slated for February 29, 2012, where the group with the highest points would win GH¢50,000.
