Ahmadiyya Muslim youngsters have been cautioned against allowing themselves to be misled by politicians to cause trouble during the impending national delegates' congress of a number of political parties and during the campaign for the 2008 election.
Mr Shuaib Asiedu, President of the Mankessim circuit of the Mission, who gave the warning said although it was necessary that the youth took keen interest in political activities they should not allow politicians to mislead them into fomenting trouble.
"It is regrettable that some Muslims allow themselves to be misused by people who later turn round to accuse persons who follow the religion ardently as being violent," the Circuit President stated when addressing members at Enyan Maiam near Mankessim, as part of activities marking the Eid-Ul-Fitr.
"It is the responsibility of all to ensure that the peace the nation is enjoying is not sacrificed for political expediency," Mr Asiedu stated.
Maulvi Ahmed Majokah, a tutor at the Ahmadiyya Mission Training College at Ekumfi Ekrawfo urged Ahmadi Muslims to use the tenets of the Ramadan to change their lifestyles saying: "People must see us as having been born again after going through the long fast".
At Towoboase also near Mankessim, Osofo Abdul Majeed, Mankessim Circuit Missionary, who led members in prayers said Ramadan was meant to increase one's faith in Allah, pray for repentance to foster unity and make them to know their responsibilities to their maker.
Osofo Majeed said the Ramadan would be meaningless if the people should return to the evils they did in the past.
Prayers were said for the prosperity of the nation.
