International Boxing Federation Bantamweight title holder Joseph Agbeko has expressed delight at his victory over Yonnhy Perez to reclaim the IBF title.
Agbeko won a unanimous decision at the Emerald Queen Casino, Tacoma, Washington, United States over the weekend putting up a masterful performance against Perez to reclaim his IBF bantamweight title in a rematch of their October 2009 clash during which he lost to the Colombian.
According to him, Perez was always going to be a tough challenge and what he saw in the ring was no exception but with his hard work and determination, he was able to overcome him.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s scoreboard sports show, Abgeko thanked the Ghana Boxing Association and Ghanaians for their support and vowed to keep the title and even go in for more titles.
He dedicated his victory over Perez to Ghana’s boxing legend Azumah Nelson.
