The AfroFit 2024 National Fitness Series marked a resounding success with its first-ever National Health Walk which was held on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
The dynamic event was aimed at raising awareness about healthy lifestyles through physical and mental exercises with lots of people making time for the event.
The three-hour walk started from the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) through the streets to the Accra Sports Stadium.
The health walk not only encouraged physical activity but also included informative wellness talks by distinguished speakers from the Ministry of Health and the National Sports Authority. The event further featured invigorating aerobic exercises and fitness games, orchestrated by the Ghana Bodybuilding &
Fitness Association (GBFA) and the National Sports For All Association Ghana (NASFAAG).
Additionally, participants benefited from free health screenings courtesy of Capital O2 Natural Healthcare Limited.
With the successful organisation of the Health Walk, AfroFit is gearing up for its upcoming projects: the Mr & Ms AfroFit 2024 National Fitness-Sports Competition and the AfroFit 2024 Wellness & Fitness Gala.
These groundbreaking initiatives promise to further inspire and champion a healthy lifestyle, diversity, unity, and inclusion throughout the African continent.
