The African Regent Hotel, a wholly-owned Ghanaian business has been adjudged the 2019 Green Hotel of the Year by the Ghana Hotel Association.
The hotel at the 4th edition of the gala and dinner night beats competition from equally good contenders in the industry for the prize.
There were more than 20 award categories competed for by the hoteliers.
Among other awards given out to deserving winners was the Front of House Team of the Year, Housekeeping Team of the Year, Conference and Banqueting Team of the Year and Most Secured Hotel of the Year.
Others were Food and Beverage Team of the Year, Green Hotel of the Year and Most Authentic Ghanaian Hotel of the Year.
This year’s edition was under the theme ‘Reducing Hotel Rates in Ghana; the role of government and hotel operators’.
The hotel also won the most authentic Ghanaian hotel of the year, the second for the night.
Famed for its afropolitan aesthetics, African Regent offers world-class services comparable to others anywhere in the world.
Officials of African Regent said the award only goes to confirm their continued commitment to creating the needed environment for their clients.
