The Chief Executive of BCA Leadership, Dr. Modupe Taylor-Pearce, has called on African business leaders to collaborate and embrace peer learning.
Speaking at the launch of the Made in Africa conference, an annual gathering of African business titans, Chief executive officers and public sector leaders, Dr Taylor-Pearce explained that the only way to accelerate Africa’s socio-economic growth is to deepen inter-African collaboration and adopt a knowledge sharing approach in solving challenges.
“Africa has all it needs to succeed; the people, resources, money and more. All we need to do is to bring all of these together and work as a unified body to make Africa work for Africans”, he said.
He furthered that, critical decision making is an important component of leadership needed to boost development in the continent.

“Our primary job is to make optimal decisions which will impact our businesses and by extension our communities and respective countries. The quality of those decisions made today and this year will determine the future of Africa”
Chief Executive of Crescendo Consult, Doris Ahiati, explained that for Africa to achieve the needed level of development, accountability must be prioritised in the decision making process.
“As a leader, you are accountable enough to put to good use the available resources at your disposal for the benefit of the people in your, home, company, community and country at large."

Samuel Ayim, CEO of the Centre for Transformational Leadership, called on business leaders to build a strong knowledge sharing network which will provide tailored solutions to Africa’s problems.
BCA Leadership, a pan-African leadership organisation with the aim of transforming Africa through leadership will hold the Made in Africa conference in Ghana for the first time on June 14 and 15, 2023.
This year’s MLC will be hosted in Ghana by seasoned governance and leadership coaches like Catherine Engmann, Doris Ahiati, Samuel Ayim, Dr. Modupe S. Taylor-Pearce and Dr. Yaw Perbi.
