African goals in Europe: 18-19 October

Ghana striker Matthew Amoah continued his superb start to the season by scoring the winning goal for NAC Breda in a 2-1 home triumph over PSV Eindhoven. Amoah found the net with four minutes remaining, and is the Dutch Eredivisie's top scorer, with nine goals from five games, helping NAC Breda to third position in the table. Ivorian Sekou Cisse equalised for Roda on 60 minutes as his side drew 2-2 with Heerenveen. Saidi Ntibazonkiza from Burundi sealed a 3-1 victory for Nijmegen with a goal in the last minute against Vitesse Arnhem. Morocco's Mounir Hamdaoui was the hero for Alkmaar scoring both goals of the game away at De Graafschap. ENGLAND Wigan's Egyptian striker Amr Zaki twice put Wigan ahead only for his side to lose 3-2 away to Liverpool. Zaki's second strike, a stunning scissors kick from ten yards out, is already a contender for goal of the season. He remains the top scorer in the league with seven goals from eight games. Ivory Coast striker Salomon Kalou scored a goal in each half for Chelsea as the Premier League leaders battered Middlesbrough 5-0. ITALY Nigeria's Victor Obinna Nsofor scored the final goal as Inter Milan demolished AS Roma 4-0 in Rome. Inter are top of Serie A with 16 points after seven games. GERMANY Two Africans scored for newly-promoted Hoffenheim in their 5-2 thrashing of seasoned side Hannover, which leaves them second in the Bundesliga table. Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi scored Hoffenheim's second - the club had a dispute with Nigeria over Obasi's participation at the Beijing Olympics, where he picked up a silver medal. Senegal striker Demba Ba scored his fifth goal of the season for Hoffenheim. Egyptian Mohamed Zidan rescued Borussia Dortmund with virtually the last kick of the game when he made it 3-3 against Werder Bremen in stoppage time. SPAIN Samuel Eto'o made the difference for Barcelona with the only goal of the game as his side edged past Athletic Bilbao 1-0. The Cameroon striker is second-highest scorer in La Liga with six goals to his credit as Barcelona lie third in the table. Another Cameroonian, Achille Emana, was on target seven minutes from time a Real Betis beat Mallorca 3-0. It was Emana's first goal of the season and a first win for Betis. BELGIUM Cameroonian Bertin Tomou scored the second goal for Westerlo in a 3-1 victory over 10-man Mechelen. Niger striker Moussa Maazou opened the scoring for Lokeren, who defeated Kortrijk 2-0. Ivorian Emerse Fae grabbed the winner for Nice, who travelled to beat Monaco 2-1. Cameroonian Christian Bekamenga continues with his fine form, scoring the lone goal for Nantes over visiting St Etienne. It was hard luck for Cameroon midfielder Aurelien Chedjou who put the ball in the back of his own net, but his side Lille were still able to hold the league leaders Lyon 2-2. Rafik Saifi put Lorient ahead in the 12th minute, but the Algerian saw his side lose 3-2 at Paris Saint-Germain.
