Cote D’Ivoire enjoyed success once again on day four of the IHF Africa Zone 3 U-17 and U-19 women’s handball championship at the Accra Sports Stadium.
While their U-17 recorded a 48-8 victory over Liberia in the early kickoff, the U19 division saw them record the highest score of the competition.
The Ivorians conceded five goals, scoring 62 times past the Liberians as they maintained their unbeaten record in both divisions.
Having recorded two wins in their first two games on Day 1 and 2 respectively, Ghana suffered a 49-29 defeat at the hands of Nigeria in the U-17 division.
However, there was joy for Ghana in the final game of the day as the U-19s sealed victory against Benin, beating them with a 21-16 scoreline.
The tournament continues on Friday with some good games to expect as we head into the closing stages of the championship.
