Africa’s largest beauty and trade show which is expected to attract hundreds of makeup and beauty professionals is slated for September 21st to September 22, 2023 at Unique Floral Event Centre in Accra.
It is under theme: 'Brands beyond Borders: The Beacon of Economic Growth.'
The event is being organized by Makeup Ghana in collaboration with First Choice Hair and Beauty.
The AMB Fair 2023 seeks to connect key stakeholders in the beauty industry across Africa, such as brand executives , manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of beauty brands, and fashion designers.
The two-day fair will create a platform for top industry practitioners, traders, consumers, publicists, regulators, policy makers and beauty schools to connect and network.
The event will also showcase the latest trends, innovations and opportunities in the beauty sector.
The fair has outlined activities such as discount sales that offer a unique chance for patrons to buy beauty products and services at discounted prices from various exhibitors.
Alongside the fair will be a panel discussion which will feature experts and influencers to share insights on best industry practices that falls inline with the theme of the event.
According to the CEO of Makeup Ghana, Ms Rebecca Donkor, this edition is going to be exceptional.
Explaining what makes it exceptional, Ms Rebecca Donkor said the nominees of the Ghana Beauty Awards will have an opportunity to showcase their products and services for the first time since the inception of the awards seven years ago.
She said the 33 award categories cover skin care, hair, makeup, content creators, institutions, nails and spa which cuts across the entire beauty eco-system.
“We are giving them the opportunity to let the world know the type of products and services that they offer” said Rebecca Donkor.
One of the new activities added to the programme is the Ghana Barbers Summit which is going to be a gathering of barbers and hairstylists to exchange ideas and also showcase their skills.
There will be Barber Competition and Beauty Show aimed at giving both barbers and makeup artists the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and talent in hair cut, styling and latest trends from the global makeup and beauty industry.
The main objective of the annual event is to bring all the industry players with their brands under one umbrella to network and share expertise as part of its efforts to propel the industry to a significant level .
Makeup Ghana is noted for its immense contribution to the makeup and beauty industry which has witnessed a significant development.
This was achieved through advocacy in consumer education, brand marketing, showcasing of talents and innovation within the industry, training and professional development programmes for practitioners.
