Midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has been recalled to Ghana's squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, marking his first selection under coach Otto Addo.
After missing the previous call-up due to injury, the 26-year-old is now declared fit, having featured three times and scored one goal so far for Anderlecht in the ongoing season.
Ashimeru’s inclusion comes after his impressive performances during the 2023 AFCON, where he earned widespread acclaim.
The Black Stars will face Angola in Kumasi on 5 September 2024, before travelling to Niger for their second Group F match on 9 September 2024.
