Ghanaian journalists covering the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire clashed with players and officials of the Ghana national team, following their draw with Mozambique, which has now left the team staring at yet another group stage exit at the competition.
The Black Stars two late goals in Abidjan on Monday evening to draw 2-2 with the Southern African nation, having held a two-goal lead past the 90th minute mark.
The result has left Ghana in 3rd place in Group B with only 2 points from their three games, and will need a huge miracle to progress to the round of 16.
After the game, journalist attempted to get interviews with players and officials at the mixed zone, but they were snubbed, leading to agitations and verbal exchanges.
CAF security officials had to be brought in to intervene.
In a video posted to social media platform 'X' by journalist Saddick Adams, some Ghanaian journalists could be heard hurling insults at the players and the coach, while another video sighted by Joy Sports had defender Mohammed Salisu in a heated exchange with another journalist.
