The Police have arrested the abuser in the widely condemned Adisadel College assault and will be arraigned on Friday, July 28.
Following his arrest, he was cautioned with causing harm and assault, and subsequently released to the school’s Headmaster to be produced in court on Friday.
He was captured on a viral video choking his junior colleague over a SIM card and subsequently hitting his head against a metallic bed in the dormitory.
Meanwhile, the victim who was suspended initially has been recalled following the public uproar over his suspension.
A section of the public was of the view it was not fair for him to be punished after going through such an ordeal and rather needed medication attention.
He is currently undergoing medical treatment, and the school has assigned a psychologist to provide him with the necessary support and counselling to help him through the trauma he experienced.
The incident has generated widespread concern and outrage among parents, students, and the general public.
The video depicting the assault caused shock and raised questions about the safety and well-being of students in educational institutions.
Meanwhile, all the students involved in the incident have also been suspended pending investigations into the matter.
