Esinam Darke, a 28-year-old chop bar attendant on Wednesday attempted suicide at the premises of Tema Circuit Court 'A'.
Esinam who was on trial for assault, allegedly swallowed some chemical used in killing mice at the court premises, while waiting for her case to be called.
Police Chief Inspector Sarah Acquah said that Lance Corporal Samuel Aperweh stationed at the court, took Esinam to Tema General Hospital where she was admitted.
She said Esinam would be charged with attempting to commit suicide, after being discharged from the hospital.
