The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has emphasised his trust in the Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, following role in ensuring the commencement of the 2023 Africa Games on time.
Ghana launched a 100-day countdown to the start of the multisport event on Wednesday, November 29, with both Bawumia and Ussif leading dignitaries to inspect the facilities to be used for the games.
The Borteyman Sports Complex and the University of Ghana facilities are near completion to host the 23 sporting events in March 2024 during the 13th edition of the games.
Bawumia, addressing the audience present at the launch, commended the efforts of the Sports Minister for his leadership and dedication in steering the preparations for the games.
