The youth wing of the Abudu Royal Family have called on government to institute investigations into statements made by the Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhaji Abubakari Sumani that there are fears of possible violence in the Dagbon Traditional area.
A statement by the group says such a pronouncement by the MP, who is a leading member of the Andani Royal Family, threatens the implementation of the road map to peace in Dagbon.
It contends the Andanis have consistently delayed the programme for the funeral of Ya-Na Mahamadu Abdulai and Ya-Na Yakubu Andani, which is the next stage of the roadmap.
The President of the Abudu Youth wing Alhaji Mugiisu Sibawei told Joy News the MP for Tamale North should be questioned because he knows the group that is planning the fresh violence in the area.
