Former Hearts of Oak attacker Ablade Kumah is calling on the club to keep memories of the late Shamo Quaye.
Ghana football is reminded of the legendary Shamo Quaye who shockingly lost his life 14 years ago as a top professional footballer. The ex Hearts of Oak and Black Stars forward was a big attraction in the premier league due to his exceptional qualities but he died after a short illness in 1997.
Ablade Kumah who played with Shamo Quaye in the musical youth of Hearts in an interview with JOY Sports stated that, the memories of such a great person simply cannot be overlooked.
“He is such a great person who affected my life in a positive way and I think he should not be forgotten.” Said Kumah.
The late Shamo Quaye was part of Ghana’s Olympic team that won the bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
