Communications Manager of Zylofon Music, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has revealed that everything including Shatta Wale’s proposal to Shatta Michy at the launch of the ‘Reign’ album was scripted.
Mr Asamoah-Baidoo insists Samini and Stonebwoy’s attempt to surprise Shatta Wale at the launch of the album at the Fantasy Dome was impossible because, the team had an agreed line up that could not accommodate surprises.
“When somebody says somebody is a surprise act as members of the audience, it is a surprise to us but no surprise to the members of the organising team and the surprise act. There’s some form of planning that goes into even introducing the surprise act…. So if that did not transpire at the ‘Reign’, I do not see the need for this conversation,” he said.
One major discourse after the successful launch of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale’s album is the inability of his perceived rivals, Samini and Stonebwoy, to mount the stage after the two uninvited musicians showed up at Fantasy Dome last Saturday.
Though the Artiste and Repertoire Manager of Zylofon, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, known as Bulldog, cited security concerns as reasons the two were not allowed on stage, Stonebwoy and his team suspected foul play.
However, Head of Communications, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo told JoyNews’ MzGee, the line up for the night could not be altered to suit Stonebwoy who is Shatta Wale’s label mate, adding that the apology rendered by Shatta Wale on Twitter should suffice.
“The gentleman has come out to apologise, it should have ended after the apology and the two artiste move on to their respective activities but I’m surprised because as a label, we are preparing for the ‘Ashaiman To Da World’ concert”.
Arnold Asamoah Baidoo was also certain that Shatta’s proposal to Michy was not a surprise to the team. He says he it was “scripted.”
“Why not? Everything is scripted as far as I know, everything is scripted and so if there was a proposal, of course, there is some scripting by part of the SM team. I am not sure Michy was aware, there will be a proposal”.
Asked if Shatta Wale will perform at Stonebwoy’s ‘Ashaiman To Da World Concert as he (Shatta) requested on Hitz FM, Arnold told MzGee, his line up at the time of the interview does not include the Shatta Wale.
“Well, per the plan we have Shatta Wale is not on that bill but anything can change,” he said.
