The technical committee working on the details of pay reforms within the public service is to complete its work this month and submit a report to cabinet.
Mr Samuel Owusu-Adjei, Minister of Public Sector Reforms, who announced this on Tuesday at the Meet the Press series in Accra, said government was taking every step to ensure equity in salaries across board.
The government launched the pay reform to ensure a sustainable public sector pay policy to improve morale and productivity of public servants.
It is also aimed at establishing equity in public sector pay policy and administration through the adoption of a single spine pay salary structure, which would place all public servants on one vertical structure.
Mr Owusu-Adjei said the Fair Wages Commission was in place and everything was being done to ensure that the outcome of the technical committee's report was captured in next year's budget.
In this direction, a job content data was gathered throughout the country while job evaluation and description had been undertaken and are being integrated with pay information.
"We are taking every step to ensure that, what finally comes out is acceptable to all," he said.
The Minister explained that although there would be a single salary structure, pay points could be as many as necessary to accommodate everyone in the public sector while equally spaced increments along the structure would make it fair to all.
